I love a new pair of shoes, so when I heard of a work conference that I would be attending in Las Vegas, I had a good excuse to do some shopping! After a quick trip to Banana Republic and DSW, I was all set to attend the conference in style. I tried the shoes on in the store and wore them for a bit in my house as I made sure all my new treasures looked the way I thought they would, and they felt comfortable enough…
However, halfway through the first day, I was walking much slower and ultimately I went and changed my shoes during a break.
Yeah, I felt it and paid for it through the whole conference. But who can just give up on shoes this cute? Plus they are navy and they were on sale! So, I tried an old hack that had worked before and I am happy to report it worked again.
Here is what I did:
Step 1: Put on thick socks, then put on shoes.
Step 2: Use your hairdryer on high heat, directing it at the area that needs to be stretched to make the shoe fit better (in this case it was the heel). Apply heat to the area for about 3-5 minutes, making sure to move the nozzle around the target portion to distribute the heat.
Step 3: Wear the shoes again. I have had to do this a couple times to get the fit exactly right, but once it is done you can love your shoes…without the blisters.
Love your shoes without the blisters!!
Special thanks to my co-workers for putting up with my whining and slow walking 🙂
